Sleepers make great poor mans ramps to get easy access for some exhaust creation.
This time round we are going with a single box RC40 system which will be shoved across an inch or so. This should leave space in the tunnel to run cooling pipes for the rear raditor - hopefully!
Rear sections in place, so we can eyeball the route from the front bank and see where the Y piece needs to live.
The chopping and planning begins...
Taking shape and getting longer as new jigsaw pieces are invented :)
Tape the bits together to check they fit, then cut the tape and start the welding...
Working out hot to make the Y piece.
Tape on a flange and the pipe from the rear bank
Then we can see the gap left to fill to the link pipe.
With the flange welded in place, now we can also look at how to join up with the front bank. Fun 3d puzzles !
So, that's got the front and rear banks joined into some bizzare shape.
Now, back to the Y piece.
Test fit looking good, so weld it up!
Lets employ a bit of child labour to do the flange clamps up this time :)
I think there will be space for some cooling plumbing in there !
Final tweaks are to bung in a short flexi for a bit of resilience, and to adjust the angles of the pipes in and out of the back box to allow for revised offset.
