Boot Radiator

Go Back

December 2024

With the stainless plumbing in place, we sort of need get onto the radiator !

Hooking up the radiator is going to take quite a few bits of soft pipe, so a bunch of hose clamps are needed.

Asthetically pleasing packaging suggests someone doesn't like just bunging things into a bag !

Hose clips in action getting the engine connected to the underneathy pipes, so the front bit is sorted.

New boot hinges courtesy of Father Christmas and the boot lock bits after a bit of prep and paint.

Father X also brought a new set of skinny fans! A perfect fit on the old boot rad.

A new fiberglass bootlid also found it's way down the chimney !

With thinner fans, I can probably tidy up the install a bit and get the radiator closer to the lid..

For testing, some discrete bracket sections were cut from the old steel bootlid and some steel reinforcing strips knocked up.

All clamped into the lid

Radiator fitted and plumbing connected. Should be sufficient for testing, but will obviously need to get some holes or mesh into the lid at some point !
