Space for the alternator was always a bit tight, hiding under the dizzy, squashed against the subframe tower mount -  so, lets get a bigger one that rotates the other way and stick it in the nice space above the oil pump...

The rough location seems ok, but a bit of editing needed to the brace bar

 

With another bit of adjustment it's sort of in place.

 

Clearance between the front tyre and crank pulley has always been tight, so it's the ideal time to mess with the pulleys and belts to get some more room.

Chop it, invert it, weld it and viola a skinny pulley!

 

Test fit for alignment is looking good, so we can finalise the langth of the spacers.

 

Shorter pulley = more tyre clearance.

 

Does the twin pulley alternator make sense now ? We can't move the water pump pulley further inboard, so we just move the alternator drive belt and use two belts :)
