The bulgy bonnet looks ok, but I am not super happy with it compared to the original 'organic' Doris bulge

 

So, lets make a cardboard template and get a hole into the ratty steel bonnet so we can play prototyping with that.

 

Does the original bulge work on there?  Not sure, actually I think I'm liking it without anything on top. Lets see how it feels after a week or two...

 

 

Now on to the arches - The look and feel of the GP2 wide seems about right, but there needs to be some messing about to make things fit better.

 

First it's probably a plan to chop the wings so they don't foul the tyres. 

 

And then make a template to copy the cuts and fixing holes to the other side.

 

Fit seems much better.

 

But what they need is more YELLOW!

 

Stick em back on and test again - Getting there !

 

Maybe a quick blas on the rest of the front and the fiberglass bonnet with it's brand new hole.

Yep, I'm certainly thinking she may well stay bare and bulgeless...
