Head cleaning + sump extension
Decoke / degrease Mr Muscle style. Don't leave it on the aluminium too long as it is pretty corrosive and it would be a shame to reduce the whole casting to a smouldering puddle :-)
The aluminium flange fits onto the end of the gearbox to provide a nice flat surface for the sump extension to fit against
The sump extension is made from the front bit of the V8 sump welded onto a flat steel sheet that is cut to match the outline of the gearbox.
Theis will eventually be drilled so that the original Princess speedo drive can bolt on to the outside and connect with the slot in the diff pinion shaft.
