Mounts & Zorsts
The plan is to solidly mount the engine to the subframe using 8 or 10 mounts in EASY to reach places !
With a simple lick of primer, things look far more permanent! The front end of the bottom box will eventually be welded to the front bar. The beginings of the engine mounts at the other end, again when finally fitted it will be gussetted. The rear bolt to the subframe will be the most fiddly to get to, but still much easier than normal Mini mountings :-) This fuzzy pic shows another left hand Landy cast manifold that fits in quite well. The beginings of a flange to fit the exhaust to the rear bank. The pipe from the rear bank slowly taking shape using spare bits of a V8 LandRover system and some new tube. The down pipes from each manifold will be about the same length when the pipes meet under the starter motor. They will then run under the gearbox where the left hand axle stand is, next to the bottom box section thingy. Ha ha, it all fits ! As the Princess gearbox is shorter then the Mini box there will actually be a bit more ground clearance (or room for exhausts) !
