Exhausting end of year ?

With the engine in it's (mostly) final location it's time to get the exhaust downpipes sorted - at least enough to put some silencing on so the engine can be started !

With a bit of bulkhead crossmember removed the access to the plugs isn't to bad, and the manifold is just about removeable !

Using various bits of 'recycled' LandRover exhaust system, the rear pipe makes its wiggly way past the transfer housing, then downbetween the brace bar and the subframe then hooks under the box.

The pipe is bolted to the side of the transfer cover, and there is a sleve joint at the brace bar so thesystem splits easily to lift the engine out.

Big supprise, the front system is recycled Landy bits too, this pipe bolts to the front brace bar and disconnects at the manifold for engineoutability.

Prototype sort of ready to run.

The pipe from the rear bank sits a bit low, but that's easy to fix. I will also weld a bracket between the two pipes to hold them together and to the subframe.
