The monkey decided to drive Doris to Mini In The Park..
OK I'll admit it, due to a minor knock from a big end or main bearing I decided that the 200 mile drive may be a bit iffy, so it was trailer time.... This is when the fun started.
We got Doris 1/2 way onto the trailer then discovered that she was too wide to fit between the trailers arches, so we took her off again. Then we tried her backwards which was fine, apart from the lack of nose weight for the trailer. So, back off again, then replace the 13x7 front wheels with some 12x6 steel Wellers, and on again forwards. Success at last !
Strangely the M25 seemed to be full of mad waving Belgians.
Saturday afternoon included a top quality BBQ, and of course 'quite a lot' of drinking. During the drinking period, a couple of new cocktails were developed, that were so dangerous, I should probably feature them on magicspanner.co.uk!
Scary Blackjacks:- 1/2 a litre of Absinthe + 1/2 a litre of Red Bull, tastes like blackjack sweets, but as Absinthe is 68%vol after a couple of swigs you suffer catastrophic leg failure.
The Other Stuff:- 1/3 Sambuca (or Pernod) +1/3 Vodka + 1/3 Red Bull, a bit like the Scary Blackjacks, but not as strong ;-)

Lastly, a big hello to the friendly American Mini Enthusiasts, from RAF Mildenhall, Lakenheath & Feltwell (I think).
Anyhow, after a good nights 3 hours sleep, it was time to
set up the club stand.
While maneuvering Doris into place I 'accidentally' pulled a bit of a wheelspin, which to my amazement left nice black marks on the grass !!!!!
More fame ??? Here's the nice man Jon, from MITP radio enjoying Dorisses subtle tones, and asking a few questions, like what gearbox is that ???????
