It seems that I have to habitually pull off the exhaust and try another design, so true to form - here we go again ....
This time we're going for something a bit louder ;-)
To take the edge off the sound, a long 4" OD silencer is goind into the link pipe. Won't be much silencing as it's got a 2.5" bore through it :-)
The 2 nasty big rear boxes are going, replaced by a pair of 2.5" bends
Which allows better airflow through the rear radiator,
And provides tasteful upswept pipes :-)
