At long last the beer keg is fully fitted, plumbed in and tested for a couple of hours running, just to impress the new neighbours ;-) A level sender from rally designs www.raldes.co.uk should remind us not to run out of petrol :-) The radiator pipes are routed as far from the tank as possible, and the fuel pump sits to the side of the tank in (hopefully) a nice cool airflow. Super magic flexi pipes allow the boot to be opened easily to show off the barrel ... Because the bulkhead isn't that easy to see through !! Maybe a perspex one for the shows next year ??? During an inspirational visit to B&Q, I spotted that Marley make some nice boxy guttering, which seems an ideal way to cover up the radiator pipes on the floor. The 'Homebase special' battery box looks a bit better after a coat of black, instead of the 'breadbin blue' it originally came in. The corners of the boot floor have now been cut to shape, and some nicer light clusters with less opaque lenses have been fitted. The hole for the filler and the surrounding bit of panel have been shaped and smoothed for a nicer fit. And finally a quick fix with a few rivets and some cable ties put the number plate somewhere sort of legal :-)
