We didn't fancy Doris blowing up on the way, so we stuck her on 'Pete' the trailer. The potential problem with this being that since his 'operation' (caravan to trailer) he has never actually been used, so he may fall to bits too ;-) The final coat of yellow was fairly dry, so she has her traditional 'not too shiny' look, but a few detail items were added. Pete made it to Bruntingthorpe OK, and the bloke on the gate gave us directions that you don't hear every day. "Take the second left past the 747 and just follow the circuit. Doris hoping she will be allowed to play on this nice open space, shame it's a bit damp though. Short vid clip of Doris moving like a normal Mini but not sounding like one while Elaine warms her up. 1756kb AVI, The PPC people shooting another article further up the runway. Setting her up for the shoot. Ooo, the weather is getting brighter :-) General static shots. With Leggy hiding in the dash, trying to get in a picture. Will's Capri. The new Yoko's made the 'dynamic' cornering shots great fun 'Capri through V8Mini' The instructor putting Will's tyres through their paces, well thermal overload anyway.
General opinion about Doris seemed to be along the lines of 'Bloddy hell you're mad, but it still drives like a Mini!' It will be interesting to see what they write about her
