| Having narrowed the axle the wheels seem to sit about right in the arches, bearing in mind that these are Fraud offset, so Mini wheels will be nearly 2 inches wider, just right for a set of group 5 arches :-) If I was to keep the Ford wheels, then the 14" tyres seem to fill the arches quite well, but I think the shopping trolley wheels on the front will have to be up rated. With a bit more removed from the inside of the car and a heavy duty (Forth bridge surplus) cross member fitted, there is a better idea of the radius arms need to be modified to get the engine in. The inner end of the swing arm is going to cause a few problems because it sort of sits where the sump wants to be. The angle grinder provided a reasonable solution (as it often does), without that bit, there's loads of space free :-) Then it will just be a matter of reversing the cut-off bit, welding it back together and relocating the inner pivot.
